Although the day started off poorly, with heavy rain and a fire alarm, things picked up very quickly.  Our first stop was at a local market in Brie.  Whilst there we were able to practise our French when we purchased items from the stall holders. We also practised our teamwork skills as we completed a quiz on the local town.

After lunch we looked around Vaux le Vicomte – a chateau in the local area. The inside of the chateau and the formal gardens were breathtaking.

We ended the day by making crepes and having a boules tournament.  We were lucky enough to have the mayor attend the tournament with two of  his own colleagues.
