Today we visited the Centre for Life, in Newcastle, to participate in a workshop on electricity. In school we have been looking at circuits and what happens when we add and remove different components. At the Life Centre we were able to look at what happens when circuits are overloaded and safety features that are added to keep us safe. We also looked at exactly what electricity is made up of.
After the workshop we were able to look around the exhibits that were there too. The favourite exhibit for must of us was the history of games consoles – it was amazing to see just how much the graphics have developed and it allowed us to see how electricity is used in the ‘real’ world.
