Our half term got off to a flying start last week with our fantastic book week. We enjoyed a range of book related activities, including book sharing assemblies, parent stay and read sessions, library visits and reading competitions. We all had the chance to read different books, write book reviews for our school library and we even had an amazing creative writing day based around the book ‘The Tunnel’ by Anthony Browne. We ended the week with a special celebration assembly where we all dressed up as our favourite book characters.
Our book week was a huge success. Thank you to all of our parents who ‘dropped in’ to read, supported the children with their competition entries and helped to make some fantastic costumes – they were all brilliant!
