Year 6 were extremely privileged to receive a visit from famous Paralympian, Craig McCann, today! He came as part of our creative curriculum theme, ‘Fun to be Fit’, and our current  English focus on biographies, to tell us all about his life so that we could then write a biography in our English lesson.

Craig talked all about his life, focusing on his sporting achievements and important life lessons he has learned.  It was fascinating and Year  6 listened intently. Afterwards, we had a question and answer session where Year 6 had the chance to ask all of the questions they had prepared.

Of course, we also allowed time for photographs and autographs!

Thank you so much for coming to visit us Craig! Good luck for your races in Italy that begin tomorrow. We will be sure to follow you in the Rio 2016 Paralympics!

Watch this space for our completed biographies!

And remember Craig’s motto…”Always try harder!”
