With Fell Dyke celebrating outdoor learning week, Year 6 have kick-started their learning with a fun packed day outside in the sunshine.
To support our creative writing we read the first action-packed chapter of ‘Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief’, then we ventured outside to act out freeze frames from the scene. We worked excellently together to use perfect postures and facial expressions.
Later in the week we hope to create detailed descriptions of our timeline of events.
During the afternoon parents and carers were invited to join Year 6 on a creative scavenger hunt around the field and forest. The aim was to find the most creative objects that we could and list them. The winners will be announced tomorrow…
Then we rounded off the day with a good old fashioned game of rounders. There was lots of fun in the sun!
Thank you to all the parents and carers who came into school to support their child’s learning – it was lovely to see so many enthusiastic faces!
