Year 6 enjoyed a visit to Sunderland University as part of the raising aspirations, ‘Primary 2 Uni’ programme.
The day started with some ice-breakers where the student ambassadors had the challenge of trying to remember all of our names – as well as a fact about us!
We then took part in a quiz where we were given an occupation and had to decide whether or not a degree was required for this occupation: there were some surprises!
Following this, we went on a tour of the campus. Some of our favourite sites included the cinema and the court!
After lunch, we then worked in groups to design our own universities and presented them to the class. The highlight of our day was graduating!
What were your thoughts about university? Who thinks they would like to attend in the future?
