After learning all the ins and outs of rounders over the past couple of weeks, Year 4 held their intra-tournament today! With the equipment in tow, all 40 children and both teachers headed up to the field to set up the rounders pitch.
White class fielded first for Scarlet class batting and after one round, the classes switched roles. It became clear that the children in Scarlet class knew how to field well as a team but the children of White class seemed to be the strongest batters. Everyone had a much stronger understanding of the rules than they did when we carried out our first match a few weeks ago so the match was a great success.
After two rounds for each team, the final score was a draw! We will have to wait for the next tournament to see if one class can win the final trophy of the year!
