Year 6 have been hard at work sorting factors and multiples.
They have been using their multiplication knowledge over the past few weeks to work through written methods for long multiplication and short division.
Today they became the maths police and worked meticulously to incriminate anyone who forgot to follow the ingredients for success! If they found a mistake they were challenged to shout, “Ello, Ello, Ello!” and bring their evidence to court in front of the jury. We found lots of criminal maths, but luckily it was all sorted before anyone was banged up in maths jail!
Then we went outside to sort factors and multiples before practicing our short division methods.
Hopefully, everyone will remember to follow their IFS when they come across long multiplication. However, the maths police will always be on hand to incriminate any awful maths mistakes!
