Year 3 have continued their fractions work by using chalks outside. Using drawn tables and chocolate bars we had to share the chocolate between each class. We then had a challenge to share the chocolate between 30 children! We used chalk to divide each bar into different pieces and used mathematical language such as quarters, sixths and eighths to describe each piece and who would end up with the most chocolate. For example would we prefer one sixth or one eighth of  a whole chocolate bar?image
