To celebrate the end of SATs week and to acknowledge all of the hard work every single person  has put in this year, Year 6 were treated to a Mexican themed day, inspired by our creative theme, ‘Maya Mysteries’.

The day started with everyone dressed in the national colours of Mexico: red, white and green. There were some great outfits and lots of sombreros!

We then designed and made our own Maya headdresses; decorated cactus pots and learned all about, ‘Día de Muertos’ (The Day of the Dead).

To celebrate the Mexican festival we painted our faces with sugar skull designs to celebrate the dead!

Then we were treat to some authentic Mexican food, provided by Chuchos Tacos.

It has been a hard week but we topped it off with a lovely celebration. Well Done Year 6! You deserve everything.
