Today year 5 embarked upon their trip to Durham University (Palace Green Library) to deepen their understanding of the Tudors and life in Tudor Britain.

One activity which we took part in was studying Tudor artifacts. We had to guess: what they were; what they were made from and what they were used for. We then got dressed up in Tudorian clothes and we acted out a scene where the king and queen would enter the room. We even got the chance to write using a quill and ink using the Tudorian alphabet.

The second part of the day was spent exploring Durham town centre. We went on a walk, following our map, to find different buildings from the Tudor times.

We had a fantastic time at Durham Uni! Take a look at our pictures.
