The Year 5 children have had an amazing start to the academic year. We have been very lucky to have visited the Woodhorn Museum in Ashington. This has allowed us to get a feel of what working as a coal miner has been like. It has inspired some fantastic: writing, art and historical work.
We have mastered place value this half term and really improved our rounding and knowledge of number. We have moved onto addition and subtraction and we will be continuing this after half term.
This half term, we have been very fortunate to have a gymnastic coach in school supporting us with our PE. We have also made a tremendous start at our swimming lessons.
The homework we have received so far this half term has been brilliant; we are looking forward to see what we receive in Autumn 2.
