Year 4

Miss Soltys, Mrs McKinley and Mrs Millward
Year 4

Welcome to Year 4

Welcome to Orange Class! Where everybody in the class works together to achieve our very best! Helping us to learn in year 4 are Miss Soltys, Mrs McKinley and Mrs Millward.

This Autumn term, we will be learning about earthquakes and volcanoes and making our very own exploding volcanoes! In Science, we will be learning about animals and how to follow a healthy lifestyle. In English, our class novel is ‘The Lost Happy Endings’ by Carol Ann Duffy. We will be writing setting descriptions, creating our own characters and writing an alternative ending to the story. We are working on the place value of numbers in Maths including multiplication, division, addition and subtraction methods. Our aim is to become confident and fluent in our multiplication tables as we work towards achieving our Bronze, Silver and Gold badges.

This year will be packed with exciting learning opportunities and we will be working hard to achieve excellence in all of our lessons! Keep on checking back to see our wonderful learning and what we have been up to.
